While everyone was sleeping I was up waiting like a young child during the holidays to see if I would be taking part in this years CraftForms Exhibition.
For many months I hoped that I would be able to show my work in this global exhibition. I am extremely proud to be a part of such an amazing event. Out of 1,200 global submissions to the event only 103 were selected during the jury process. I was very excited when I found out I was one of them. The exhibition is taking place at the Wayne Art Center (WAC) in Wayne, PA. The artists accepted were all invited to a preview party event on Friday for the opening of the exhibtion. Then on Saturday the gallery was open to the public for the first time this year for the artists to speak about their art in the exhibition. Out of the 103 artists accepted only 24 of them attended from states across the U.S. including CT, CA, IA, IN, RI, NY, NJ, and PA.
The weekend was mind-blowing and I learned a lot from all of the extremely talented artists in the exhibtion and many others who attended the events for opening weekend. I would like to give a huge thanks to WAC for hosting such great events for the opening weekend. Furthermore, I want to give an even greater thanks for each and every one of the extremely hard working people at WAC for taking all of the steps to make this opening weekend special and CraftForms itself for continuously going strong for its 29th year in a row! Thank you for allowing me to be apart of such an great event; I am extremely honored.
Last but not least, I would like to thank the many supporters that help me get to my bench everyday and give me strength to keep me breathing forward. It would not be possible for me to achieve such rare acceptance from the art community if it were not for these indivduals who go above and beyond because they all want to see me be succesful. Thank you, all of you, I am forever greatful for you.
